Project Description:
The Jersey Shore offers a variety of beach towns and marina-oriented enclaves along it's 127 miles of coastline. The white sand beaches and the magnificent Atlantic Ocean, have attracted generations of American Families to return annually to these unique summer havens, which offer a wide variety of summer lifestyles with the backdrop of sailing, fishing , surfing or simply cruising On one's bike.

For many New Yorker's seeking a summer home within walking distance to the beach as well as direct access to their sail or motor boat, the towns of Bay Head, Mantoloking and the private enclave of Curtis Point offer the best of both! Curtis Point is a waterfront community where many summer residents find the perfect combination of beach and bay. One can arrive by car on Friday eve, leaving the hectic work week behind, spending the entire Weekend in pool, riding waves on the beach and cruising to a waterfront café by boat!

Many of the homes on Curtis Point were built in the 1950's and have now become obsolete, causing new owners to tear down and or renovate the structures. DDG was retained to plan, design and manage the a comprehensive renovation & expansion of a small shingle-clad gambrel with a detached salt box garage. The existing layout of structures offered an opportunity to re-position and consolidate the (2) structures into a single integrated expansive home with a variety of well-proportioned living spaces. The unique stair tower offers access to guest suite as well as the private Family bedroom suites, with detailed architectural elements and fine craftsmanship.

This transformation is currently under construction and will be completed in Summer '08!
