Project Description:
Design / build/ project management services for the renovation of an existing 24, 500 SF space overlooking the East River & New York Harbour. This project took 2 years to plan, design, and obtain NYCDOB approvals. Degnan participated in lease negotiations on clients behalf with landlord on the build-out allowances, mechanical space utilization, & Building facade approvals with NYC Department of Landmarks Preservation & Department of Building for the consolidation of multi-tenant floors.
North American Headquarter's for French Insurance Company consisted of Executive Boardroom, reception areas and CEO's Suite, as well as staff offices and facilities.
The use of limestone, glass & woodwork paneling ( anigre') allows the the fine aesthetic aspects to conceal the complex technological networks, which was necessary for a 24 hour per day Global operation.
